Highly Compatible, better than most
I purchased this product at Home Depot but I'm posting the review here. I took it apart to see what was inside and it was interesting. The left USB port uses a few resistors to put voltages on the D+ D- lines that make it compatible with Apple devices. The right USB port uses this special automatic device detection chip (TPS2511):

The result is that each side has its own compatibility. Strangely, the packaging doesn't say anything about this.
Devices I tested:
Samsung Droid Charge
Left: USB Mode
Right: AC Mode
ipod Classic 80GB
Left: charged
Right: would not charge
Samsung Galaxy S III
Left: charged (AC Mode)
Right: charged (AC Mode)
Nexus 7
Left: charged* (AC Mode)
Right: charged* (AC Mode)
*After the latest SW update (4.2) on my nexus 7, both sides charge in AC mode. Before the SW update, both sides would charge in USB mode, but SW would not indicate that it was charging at all.
For the price, I really wish they would make both sides fully automatic and fully compatible, but it does better than most chargers in attempting to be compatible with as many devices as possible. Also taking it apart required only a screwdiver and nothing was glued together making it easy to open.
