Perfect for someone who is deaf and gets up earlier than their Spouse. I am deaf so I can't speak for the siren or whatever noise it probably makes very loudly, I've no use for sound so I set it for just the shaker. I keep that shaker module tucked just under the corner of the head of my side of the bed, between mattress and box springs. Wakes me every single time without fail. The flashing lights also help; they look like regular LEDS but they are VERY BRIGHT and they do help to alert me to get the heck out of bed and shut the thing off to start my morning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE DEAF, BY A DEAF PERSON who bought this a couple/few months ago. It has NOT failed me. If you need something affordable to get your hiney up in the mornings, and you are deaf, BUY THIS. You'll not regret it.
