This is a very good chain that is fast cutting
This is a very good chain that is fast cutting. With Husky chains you have to know the following for 3/8" Pitch .050 gauge chainsaw chains.
1) H80 Chain: Consumer grade chain for safety cutting. You won't be very impressed with the speed of this cut. It is primarily for home use, and for beginners. It is what is sold in Lowe's. It is Chisel Tooth, Standard Chain Sequence, with Safety Links. Sharpens with 7/32" dia round file.
2) H46 Chain: More aggressive Cut than H80 Chain. It is a very good intermediate level chain, once you have become familiar with the saw. It is a chisel tooth, standard chain sequence, with guard links. It will give some kickback if you don't know what you are doing. Sharpens with 7/32" dia round file.
3) H47 Chain: Very aggressive cut. Pro Level chain. Chisel tooth, standard chain sequence. No safety or guard links. This is a chain for those who know how to use their saws. Sharpens with 7/32" dia round file.
4. H47S Chain: Skip tooth for longer bars, so saw doesn't have to work as hard on large diameter logs. Very aggressive cut. Pro Level chain. Chisel tooth, skip tooth chain sequence. No safety or guard links. This is a chain for those who know how to use their saws. Sharpens with 7/32" dia round file.
5. H51 Chain: Semi-Chisel Tooth. More aggressive Cut than H80 Chain. It is a very good intermediate level chain, once you have become familiar with the saw. It is a semi-chisel tooth, standard chain sequence, with guard links. It will give some kickback if you don't know what you are doing. This chain is good for use on dirty or rotted wood as the semi-chisel profile will stay sharper in those conditions. Sharpens with 7/32" dia round file.
6. H82 Chain: Square Chisel Tooth This is the most aggressive chain for very fast cuts. It is a professional level chain and you had better know how to use it to keep from getting hurt. It is very difficult to sharpen without a sharpener, as it uses a flat profile file to sharpen, and you have to get it right, or take it in to be sharpened if you don't have your own sharpener.
