No miracle cure, but the 5 stars is for quality, value, and made in U.S.A. After trying every type of mattress for our aching bodies, we were gifted a Sleep Number bed (save your money). It came with a too-squishy (read: flimsy) pillow-top. For the price of a used car, you'd think it would be better. Consumer Reports rates this bed #1, but to me, it's like putting a sleeping bag on top of a Walmart inflatable camping mattress! So I looked up the difference between ours and the top-of-the-line model (the price of a GOOD used car), and the difference was a 2" memory foam instead of the pillow-top. Available separately, for around $200! So, after much research, I decided to try this, and it did the trick. We had one of these before, and this one is better quality. I laid it on top of an unused bed for a day, and that's it. Fluffed up nicely and the smell was gone. I just wish someone else had mentioned using it on a sleep # bed, it would have made my decision easier. It works! However, I see a lot of people using them for worn-out beds, and I don't think I'd recommend it for that. Good for a too-firm bed, though. -sorry, I was mistaken. Made in China. But I would still purchase again.
