Just finished installing this range hood fan myself (with a little physical help from another person). The install went pretty well, aside from a few poor design decisions. For example, the power cord comes out right next to the fourth hold to hang the hood... so this makes it difficult to get the screws through without risking damage to the power cord. Not a huge deal, but disappointing. Secondly, getting the screws into the holes is rather difficult, particularly for the ones in the back, because there is hardly any space to work with. Again, disappointing. Lastly, the adapters for recangular or round venting don't seem to have any gasket, so this makes it hard to seal perfectly. I used the rectangular (because that's what I already have)... and once installed there's no way to reach down to apply tape. A foam gasket around the adapter would make this easier. Overall, it wasn't too bad... just a lot of little things, as usual... so I only took off "half" a star for this. The other half-star is because the touchscreen is not very responsive. It takes a firm, consistent press to get it to "take"... so it's a little annoying to use. Again, not a huge deal, but could be better, that's all. Beyond these minor concerns, I have no complaints really. The hood looks great, provides POWERFUL airflow (we were reconditioning a cast iron skillet, and could see the particles get sucked up into the vent - amazing!). Even at full speed, it's quieter than the microwave-vent that was there before (which was a higher-end GE Profile, too, so that's saying something). 6 speed adjustability is great too, so you can dial in the noise/flow easily. Also, the lights are great as well... made those cast iron cleaning particles very easy to see. VERY happy overall! Can highly recommend it to anyone!
