I've been needing to purchase a foam topper for my king size bed for soooooooo long. This seemed like it fit the bill and was priced well. When the topper arrived, it was heavy and substantial. I unpackaged it and laid it out on my bedroom floor. It was significantly lumpy and creased from shipping but the instructions shipped with it said to let the topper sit for 48 hours to fluff out before using it. So before panicking (it really looked bad), I left it and went about my day. When I came back to my bedroom about 12 hours later, the topper had indeed fluffed out. There was hardly a bump to be seen. I let it sit until the next day and by then it was perfectly smooth. As the instructions also stated, the topper does have a chemical smell that faded after a day or two (I think this is just the nature of memory foam). The king-size topper is really heavy. It took both my husband and I to wrestle it onto our bed. But the heaviness is a wonderful thing. It keeps the topper in place and makes it cushy to sleep on. And wow! It has made such a different. Soft but with lots of support. It has made it even harder to get out of bed in the morning!
