Great Rowing Machine at a Good Value
I researched reviews of about a dozen rowing machines in the $200 to $300 price range and finally settled on this one. After three weeks of use, I'm very pleased with my choice. The unit is very easy to assemble. It is also easy to move from room to room using the wheels on the front feet. I like to use it in front of a TV to make the time pass, and moving it around is very easy. Just pick up the back end of it, lift it to about a 45 degree angle and roll it across the floor on the wheels, whether carpet or hard flooring. The back end is very light so little effort is required to lift it. The range of resistance adjustment has been sufficient for me. I'm 70 years old, but I'm fit and athletic, and participate in a number of exercise routines including weight machines and bicycle riding. The resistance settings are 1 through 16. I do most of my 15 to 20 minute rowing sessions on setting #8. Setting 16 is quite stiff and offers way enough resistance for a rowing machine. After all, this is an aerobic exercise machine intended for general fitness, not meant for bulking up muscle mass. As a retired mechanical engineer, I also like the construction of the unit, which allows for easy disassembly of the resistance unit in case anything wears out and needs replacement down the line sometime. A few screws and the side comes right off for full access to the machine's resistance components. This is a great machine at a great price. You can spend more, but you really don't need to.
