I am 49 years old and recently started bioidentical hormone replacement (BHRT). i was warned my skin might react to the sudden influx of hormones, and boy did it. My face became so oily i developed horrible cystic acne around my jaw and my nose. It took several months for it to calm down, but i was left with horrible dark spots. I also had old scarring issues since i've always had issues with acne. I was about to fork over a large sum of money to have some laser treatments done, but i saw the reviews for this peel and decided to give it a try. Thank God! This REALLY works! You will peel, but ...hello! It's a PEEL. That's what peels do! It's a little frustrating to read so many reviews from people who feel a slight tingling -or even a mild burning and freak out. One reviewer even stated she "got scared" and washed it off right away. Really?! It will take a few days but your skin will get flaky and very dry. Use a good moisturizer and sunscreen and please don't write silly reviews about how this product makes your skin peel. Obviously the reason you are trying something like this is because you WANT to rejuvenate your skin. The only way to do that is to help turn over the old, dead cells and make room for fresher new skin. Well, this does it. So put on your big girl panties and let this product do its job. You don't have to call in sick to work (as another reviewer suggested), you only have to put up with a few flakes for a short period of time. It will be well worth any (very minor not even worth mentioning) inconvenience. No more acne, no more hyperpigmentation!
