Worth the money...from a chick who doesn't have "good" hair
I'm slightly confused by the bad reviews on how hard this tool is to use or that it doesn't work. I'm not talented at doing my hair. I've had the same hairstyle since the great permed mullet debacle of 1986. It's straight, fine, flat, and I've got lots of it. It nevvvver wants to hold a curl.
I received my Tyme iron last night. I watched a basic how-to video from Tyme and went to work. It took me 10 minutes to get it down. I then slept on my hair and woke up to slightly less curl but lots of volume. My hair actually has curl and it's super sleek and shiny. I didn't do any particular prep before I started curling because again, the whole art of "good hair" continues to allude me.
As for price, yes, there are cheaper flat irons that you can curl with. I have one and it functions moderately. I can also buy a handbag at Walmart, but I'd much rather have the Louis Vuitton. My Louis Vuittons last longer and are better quality. If you can afford it, it's well worth the price.
