So when I was searching to buy one of these this one had mixed reviews but had a notice on the page stating to run the drill under no load (not actually using it) for 2 hours. I gave it a shot ordered it ran it for 2 hours and it works great. I will warn you the paper instructions did not mention to do this break in cycle but it runs quieter and cooler now under load than it did during the first 2 hours breaking in so just do it. I don't really like the foot pedal but it does come with one. It's just on or off the speed doesn't vary with pressure on the foot pedal the speed control is a slider on the unit. Overall I'm happy as long as it doesn't break randomly and it's performed well so far.
