Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I started rereading the book series in September in preparation for this show. And I am thrilled. There are some very minor changes in the TV plot from book 1 (as with all adaptations), but overwhelming, it's the same story in the same order with the same characters. Anyone who read the books should enjoy this show. Ignore those 1-star reviews. No real fan of the books could give such a low rating. The show's production value is very high, the dialogue rings true, and the acting is solid. The idea that any fan of the books would skip watching such an excellent fantasy, well, they would only be hurting themselves.
