Great soft well made sweater. Much better quality than I ever expected this to be. I ordered one just to see how it fit before I ordered other colors. The large in my opinion is true to size and does fit but you really have no room to wear anything other than a t-shirt under it without it looking small. For that reason I decided to order additional colors in XL just for the space. If you are in doubt because of all the conflicting reviews my suggestion is to order one size up from your normal size and that should work for you as it did for me. I will post a new review on the fit of the XL compared to the L when I get them. Hope this helps. Update 3/17/16 I received the rest of the sweaters I ordered today. All size XL. They all fit well but vary in fit by color. The magenta was the most generous as you can see in the photo. It is clearly true to size so with this color I could have ordered a large. The navy blue was the least generous and an XL is needed in this one. You may even want to go up 2 sizes depending on your liking. The other colors fit perfectly fine in the XL. I tried all of these on wearing only a bra. You can see the fit on me in the mint color. They all fit like this regardless of the style in all colors except magenta and navy. I am a size 12 and I wear a 38D bra.
