The first one we received was broken - and was a return to Amazon because the shipping label for someone's return was still on the box. I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement quickly - which I appreciated. This thing makes pretty good cold brew coffee. Filling it up after you have the grinds in it is a slow process - but no big deal. I find it tastes best after a full 24 hours - not bitter at all. Cold brew takes a lot more grinds for the number of cups you get - but the taste is worth it. We have a fancy coffee maker that makes cold brew in addition to regular hot coffee - but only four cups of cold brew (with enough grinds for 12 cups of hot). That is somewhat 'easier' than this little gadget (no slowly adding the water to the grinds) -but it hogs up the coffee maker for hours. Glad we have this, pleased with the results and looking forward to trying some of our 'better' coffee in it soon!
