Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Original: I really wanted to give this higher ratings but...if you are doing puzzles that are under 750 normal size puzzle pieces, it works great. One drawer had had a cracked that I glued, all the drawers fit a bit snug and wouldn't slide out very easy at all so I sanded them, and there was a strip of hardened glue under the top felt by one side, not huge but for the price you pay, I expect a lot better. Most of my puzzles are 1000 pieces normal sized puzzle pieces and does not fit this board. It's maybe 2 pieces short each way. I ended up spending extra money to make an insert out of plywood and covered it with felt, just because I had already thrown the box and didn't want to return it. With this size puzzle you can't fit the puzzle pieces in the drawers, unfortunately I found this out by some pieces getting caught and bent and had a heck of a time getting the drawers pulled out. I had planned to gift several of these to family members who enjoyed puzzles as well, but now, NOT. It's such a great idea, whoever made it didn't take into account what a true 1000 piece puzzle is, and a bit more care should be put into the construction for that price. First picture shows it's just a bit too short to fit just an inch bigger each way would work (for normal sized pieces). Second picture was my modification that I made adding a plywood insert and felt and this 1000 piece puzzle fits to the end of the board. Updated: After posting manufacturer reached out and sent a replacement board which didn't have any defects. They stated they are working on manufacturing one that will fit a traditional 1000 piece puzzle, I look forward to getting one of those and then will update the review accordingly. Great customer service, top notch!!! Updated again: See the picture for reference between the old and the new. WOW!! I received the newer version and this one is manufactured with high quality. This larger size will truly accommodate 1000+ piece puzzle. I've attached the photo showing the difference between the old and the new. Can't wait to finish my current puzzle on the old and work on the new mat. I love being able to tuck away my puzzle board under my bed when company comes. The drawers all pull out smoothly. The customer service of JD Brands is outstanding. They have kept me in the loop while waiting for the new puzzle boards to arrive. I've given this as a gift to others, everyone absolutely loves it. When I share pictures of my completed puzzle someone always asks about the board.
