Just the extra amount of adhesive need to help hold sensor in place.
This was recommended to us by our doctor. The diabetes sensor my wife was using would often come loose. She lost two of them because their adhesive would not hold for the entire 10-day period. First, clean the area of the arm where the diabetes sensor will go with alcohol wipes. Let the alcohol dry, then wipe the area with the skin-tac wipes. Then let the area dry completely again. The fluid left behind by the skin-tac wipes forms a sticky area. The diabetic sensor is then applied to this area. This bit of extra adhesive keeps the sensor on for the entire 10-day period. When you get ready to remove/change the sensor, wipe the edges of the adhesive with baby oil or plain mineral oil to soften the adhesive. This makes for an easy removal.
