GREAT product, TERRIBLE instructions...
I unfortunately, purchased this product without reading any of the negative reviews. If I had read about all the problems people were having getting their baby in and out of the baby seat, I would have probably gone with another high chair. I was very excited when the Stokke box came in the mail and immediately (and quickly) put the chair together, glimpsing ever so quickly over the instruction manual. The next morning, when trying out the chair with my daughter actually in it, I found that I couldn't easily get her in or out of the chair. I was contorting her legs into strange angles to jam her body into the baby set seat. Getting her out of the chair was a challenge and it didn't come without tears and a distraught mom. Now, I couldn't figure out WHY in the world I was having such difficulty and was thinking my 7 month old, 20 lb baby was too big for the baby set until I read online that the seat was suitable for babies 6 months to 3 years old. I then started my search online for videos of the seat, thinking maybe I put it together incorrectly. I also studied the instruction manual, going over all the steps with a fine tooth comb. I FINALLY saw in tiny, tiny print that there MUST be at least a 2 inch gap between the baby's knees and the edge of the bottom board where the baby sits. This small detail is KEY to getting your baby in and out of the seat without tears and contortions. I'm sure this detail doesn't have to be made for all babies but definitely for babies with bigger legs. This 2'' gap creates just enough space for easy access in and out of the chair. Now that I have figured this out, I couldn't be happier with this product. It is very well made and a product that I hope will last for years. I would like to highly recommend this chair but I have to reiterate the importance of reading that fine print. It will save you many headaches.
