This brewer has everything I love about good design: minimalism, elegance, and compatibility. In one collection of gear, you've got everything you need, short the coffee and water--no expendables required! And if the jar breaks--blamo--get another one, and since I used this jar to store all my dry goods on shelves, that's a piece of cake. I love this system and I love cold brew. If I had to make one criticism, it would be about the wooden top (which houses and jar top). The edges of the wood are pretty sharp, and twice I've had a hell of time loosening the cap to get my coffee nectar. It's also pretty wide--wider than a normal lid--and, while my hands aren't Dr. J's, they're not exactly small, and I can barely get a decent grip on it. Not sure I'll use the wooden lid moving forward, but, again, doesn't matter because any mason jar lid will do. Great stuff!\
