Well, I finally bought one of these charging stations and I must say, wow! I really had no idea just how much of a lifesaver one of these was going to be! I will start off by saying that I am a cell phone JUNKY, and I have to have every new device that hits the market! And lets not forget about the tablets either, those are far less interesting to me but I have 3 that I have spent quite a few benjamins on! So in total, I have 11 devices and counting. I am just intrigued by technology so whether it's ridiculous or not, It is what it is... So I researched several charging stations on Amazon and I made a list and got it down to the last 3 contenders. I chose this one because of the price and value that it offered, without taking away any functionality. For instance, you can get a cheaper unit, but you gotta go without built in power, or you can get one that's super elaborate, but end up spending as much as a high end cell phone costs! When I unboxed this it was pretty straightforward, there was a small instruction booklet and a power adapter for the main usb hub that's built-in to the unit. It actually has 7 ports that are NOT device specific, meaning you can plug in any type of device to ANY port and it will power that device to it's fullest. A lot of models out there are labeled for 1.0 amp, 2.0 amp and 2.4 amp, which just confuses the user when having to plug all of your devices in! I wish companies would not do this because I don't want to have to use certain ports for specific devices, that's just a pain in the butt! So AVLT has made this the RIGHT way and that is a huge plus. The next thing that is a huge plus is that it actually has enough wattage to fully power the 7 devices it's capable of. Instead of skimping on a cheapo usb hub, they put one in that is of decent quality! Thank you AVLT for that!! I really only have one gripe, and it's a small one. The power cable has an input on the same side as the usb ports, which makes it hard to keep the usb cables separated from the power, thus making it difficult to route cables to clean things up and make it look nice on your desk. I suggest that the port be moved to the opposite side so that it does not interfere with what's going on when plugging in all the devices. It's a VERY small nit pick but I had to think of something! :) It's also one of the smaller units out there so it looks pretty good on my desk and fits ALL 7 spots with my devices INSIDE of their respective cases! I would actually like to get another one of these but I am not going to spend the money on it now, as this one will hopefully hold me off for awhile! Well, it better! Lol So give this one a try and I can guarantee that you will be happy you did! I will post a couple pics but I am not done with my cable routing yet so don't judge me! :) Overall i give this my solid recommendation and a HUGE approval in my book! Thanks JUICY POWER!!!! Why they have not sold more of these I have NO idea!? NOTE: I guess you could call it a con, but I like to buy my own cables anyways. They do NOT include any usb cables for any of your devices, so you will want to invest in a 5-7 pack of cables so that you can get the right lengths and it looks much nicer when it's color coded! I like to buy my own cables because I know what goes good with each device and you want to avoid cheap cables at all costs! It's the cables that will ruin your devices, believe it or not....
