While not an expert in bed sheets, I have read that both thread count (usually stated) & cotton fiber type (may be unknown or unspecified) determine softness & quality. A 750 thread count sheet set may be a triple layer of lower quality 250 thread count fabric. Department stores play games marking up prices (of sheets & other merchandise) then offering discounts in the form of coupons or promos. This seems like a competitively-priced high-quality pillowcase set, and if they hold up to several washing & drying cycles then I hope to buy a similar complete sheet set if Mayfair offers these on Amazon.
