My dog, as best I can figure, is an idiot. When we have company over his idiot-levels go into full-blown "EVERYONE IS GONNA DIE" mode. He barks, barks, and barks. He has no thunder problems...he has people problems. We thought this vest might work on him because I guess dogs can have sensory problems, too. So we put this little bugger on and suddenly my dog is well behaved (if we don't include the time he went to the bathroom on my wife) whenever we have company over. In fact he's so well behaved my son started crying and demanding I take it off because this wasn't "his dog." If this thing can make my kid cry...I promise you it's worth every penny.
