We have a combination King Shepard and Siberian Husky who is both large, and has a very heavy coat that has an outer coat and an undercoat. We had bought the Wahl Pet Pro clippers (Model 9281-210) and they wouldn't cut a strip of more than a half of an inch in length without either bogging down or getting so wadded with hair that they quit cutting. We tried cutting with the grain, across the grain, or against the grain. We tried different comb thicknesses and it just wouldn't touch the hair on this dog. Looked at a number of other options and decided to give these a try. By god they work. After a few minutes of cutting we had to clear undercoat from between the comb and the blades, but they kept cutting, they would just pull. Took about 30 minutes to cut him to our liking and they didn't get hot. On the negative side, the advertisement is correct, these are PLUG IN CORDED clippers, but the box and the manual say to place them on the charging base to charge them, even showing the cord plugged in. Not sure what's up with that but if they will shear this dog, they will cut anything. They also have a card that says if you email the order in your get an additional 3 years of warranty, so I'm about to do that as well. I don't normally review something if it's not exceptional, and this is truly exceptional. Again, it's CORDED, Not CORDLESS as the box and manual state. The ad is correct, the box and manual are not.
