I bought these curtains for our bedroom, we live in a hot, dry climate and our bedroom is the hottest room. My husband occasionally has to sleep at odd hours for work, so a bright, hot room is not ideal. These curtains are perfect, our room has never been cooler or darker during the summer. The curtains feel like a microsuede material, I hung them straight out of the package.
