As the girlfriend of a US Marine Recruit, I write letters every single day. That being said, I want my letters to look pretty, which meant I wanted STRAIGHT HANDWRITING. This laser has helped me sooo much! I align the laser with the lines of a sheet of college ruled paper so I get a comfortable leading. Then, the laser rides the line over onto the (lineless) stationary I use for the letter. The laser line is nice and bright, has really good distance, and a very nice battery life. I have used this laser so much, and now my handwriting has improved and is starting to write more straight by itself. NOTE: I did remove the bottom spike thing because whatever that's supposed to be didn't make any sense at all no matter how I looked at it. Lol!
