Security in Your Pocket
I will try to keep this brief, as there are other reviews for this wallet that speak highly of it.
What drew me to the wallet was that it "passed US Government FIPS-201 security standards." I am familiar with these, and passing is no easy trick. That description, and the review by one other purchaser who tested the effectiveness of the wallet, gave me the confidence to make the purchase. Having had it for 2 weeks now, I can say that confidence was warranted.
The leather is smooth and soft, and the only way you know the wire mesh (aka faraday cage) is even there is if you manipulate the wallet with a twisting motion (like gently wringing out a towel). Other than that, all you appear to experience is a high-quality wallet. It has room for all of my identification, credit cards, cash, etc.
I do offer a word of caution: give it a week before you make up your mind. I filled every slot the wallet had to offer with cards of all kinds, and the wallet appeared bulky and partly open. Putting it into my pocket was a trick, and taking it out was even more difficult. Then I discovered two things: 1) The wallet is a rectangle, not a square. Turn the wallet 90 degrees, and the wallet fits my pocket perfectly; moreover, it is a cinch to extract it from my pocket. 2) After being in my pocket for a week, the soft and supple leather molded around the cards & bulk and compressed. Now the wallet is thinner, which makes it even easier to extract. And as I recall, this has happened with every leather wallet I have ever owned.
By the way, I also purchased the RFID Blocking Buffalo Leather Passport Wallet by Access Denied for when I do international travel. The quality is excellent there, as well, leading me to believe that Access Denied is a high-quality company. I would do business with them any time, and I will recommend them to everyone who asks.
