As an older person, I really hate that we are expected to dress like we are still 16 (have you tried to buy grown up clothes lately?). I like the waistband of my jeans to go a little higher on my hips and these jeans are in just right spot. I don't feel like they are too high or too low on my waist. I also like that they are truly relaxed fit. I bought another brand of jeans advertising "relaxed fit" and the legs are more like"form fitting". These are loose in the legs all the way down the leg so they don't really look like a bell-bottom jean. They are also cotton blue jeans and not stretch jeans. I didn't have any problem with shrinkage when I washed them. I have now purchased 4 pair and will continue to use this brand as long as they make this pair of jeans.
