"I love the smell of choking groundhog in the morning." I have been battling the godfather of groundhogs for over 4 years. (We call him Jibs) Jibs goes about 24" long and 25lbs plus. He is so big that he won't fit into the large rodent traps that you get at Home Depot. These are the same traps that will catch most any fat racoon. I have come outside and actually seen him sitting on the cage eating. No joke. I have successfully trapped every family member, relative and friend of Jibs. In 2016, during the month of May I was averaging 5 kills per week. Keep in mind that this is a tiny city yard in the city of Cleveland. 3500 sq ft. I spent years removing every possible food source and filling massive holes. Waking up at 5:00am and starting my preparation by watching Caddyshack. I have tried damn near everything until I found these babies... They make a ton of smoke and I think they work. I have been hole free for 3 weeks. Even if they don't work, they are still fun.
