Really liking it!
I've run two batches through this so far and I really like it! The first time, I put 3/4C coffee in the filter, then filled slowly with water. The grounds start to rise and light stirring is necessary. The 2nd time, I put the grounds in a quarter cup at a time, adding water as I went. This worked much better! Slowly wetting the grounds in small amounts was a better idea. I left it sit in the fridge for 20+ hours and the result was smooth, delightful cold coffee! (I used Stone Street grounds for cold brew.) There was a small amount of sludge in the bottom of the glass. Nothing I didn't expect. To make sure I didn't pour any of that out, after I cleaned out the filter, I poured the cold brew back through it. Not a necessary step, but it captured any bits of silt, which wasn't much anyway. I'm impressed with this simple system and really enjoying it. It's also saving me money over buying jars of cold brew concentrate from the store. I recommend it!
