Don't buy the Kenney Chelsea CAFE style if you are doing heavier curtains across a wide window...Chelsea BALL is the thicker stronger model you want! I originally bought the CAFE style not realizing they were using a very thin pole for a 48-96" run! Unless you are only using very light sheer curtains, the BALL style is what you want. It is the thickness and strength you would expect on such a long curtain rod. Remember, CAFE=Light, Sheer; BALL=Standard, Heavy.
