Just got our new queen mattress yesterday and spent the night on it – so far, terrific experience! The mattress arrived yesterday rolled up in a sturdy blue shipping cover. Underneath that is a zippered case, so opening this and actually placing it on the bed is a one-person job (but getting your old mattress out of the way may take two). The mattress and two free pillows (!!) are encased in heavy-duty packaging, so you get a little tool, like a letter opener, to open it and instructions that are clear and concise, similar to what you get when you buy an Apple product. First, you place the rolled-up mattress on your box springs, then carefully slit the vacuum-packed shipping sleeve. The mattress starts to expand slowly while you unroll it on the bed. After you remove the wrapping, the mattress and pillows continue to expand over a few hours. We made up the bed and chased the curious cats away. First night’s report: • Not too firm, not too soft, good support. No sag at the ends. • The memory foam cover is cool and comfortable. • There was a slight odor from the fresh foam when you unwrap it (they let you know this in advance), but it disappeared after a few hours. • Woke up refreshed from a good night’s sleep. The curious cats liked it, too. So far, a great experience at a great price!
