If you're looking for great knives, I have to recommend the Cuisinart colorful knife set. As many of you may not know, until very recently I had one knife - a small paring knife about half the width of a cucumber, probably used for whittling children's toys and pan flutes before it fell into my hands. It cut everything - sponges, dishtowels, hands - except food. My culinary hopes were dashed - my lack of tools had forced the invention of "cucumber noodles," where I relentlessly attacked a cucumber with a peeler until nothing but the seeds remained. Then I bought the Cuisinart Knife set - for a mere $22.47, my whole life was changed. Beautiful, extremely sharp knives, each with a custom sleeve. They cut chicken breast like it was soft butter. They glided through vegetables, making them smooth and evenly cut. I could travel, to work, to a party, to an unsavory street brawl with a beautiful knife, safely in its sleeve. I could store them in a drawer, so thin, so sturdy. I do not regret this purchase for a second - and, if you're looking for a life changing addition to your kitchen, neither will you.
