Are there really 1,000 pieces?
I'm sure the big question everyone has is "are there really 1000 pieces?" After finding myself at home for one sad and lonely weekend, I set out to find this answer. I not only found the answer, but also discovered this isn't just a bag of 1000 random pieces. This bag has a set amount of shapes and colors. The generic bricks look almost exactly like their LEGO counterparts and they interlock perfectly with them. The fit and tightness feels about the same. Design-wise, the only thing that's missing are the LEGO stamp on each nub. The generic bricks even have those "pinhole dents" on one nub, although these are more obvious. As for defects, out of 1,000 pieces, I found one (see photo). Overall, I was surprised by the quality of these generic pieces and it's affected my opinion of generic LEGOs. I always thought bags like these would contain random pieces of shapes and colors, especially of the ones you don't want. There would be a lot of defects, nowhere near 1000 pieces, and basically, the company is just trying to make a quick buck. This isn't the case here. I'm impressed. *I received this product for review purposes. Products are judged on construction, quality, value, what they do, and how well they do it.
