This thing is awesome! It DOES add a taste to the water, but it tastes GOOD. From what i read, just touching this thing kills viruses on your hands, so drinking the water does the same thing systemically. It's a sad sad thing that our culture has moved away from copper tubing for it's cheap and easy toxic/carcinogenic replacement, PVC. The lid got a little squeeky after a while, so we put a tiny bit of oil and it was super smooth silent sailing after that. Have not had to reapply for some time now~ Also, this bottle will discolor on the outside if it has water evaporating on it, but it can be easily cleaned with lemon and salt. This DOES need to be done regularly if you want it to look nice, and then it will shine beautifully.
