Following in the footsteps of speech pathologist Christina Hunger and her dog Stella (@hunger4words on IG) I bought these for my French bulldog puppy. She’s 16 weeks old and is taking to them very quickly! I’ve already bought a second pack so we can add more words to her board. Another reviewer mentioned it would be better if the record/delete button were underneath or needed a pin to be pressed (like reset buttons on some devices) and I couldn’t agree more...my dog has erased a couple words already by accidentally hitting the side button. They’re not hard to re-record, but still. It might also be nice if in a future design, you didn’t need a tiny screwdriver to open the battery compartment. The sound quality isn’t the very best, you have to really enunciate certain letter sounds for them to be heard. The sound quality also isn’t 100% consistent...some buttons record louder or more muffled despite being recorded in the same conditions at the same mic distance. But, they all function properly and I still LOVE these! They work great for our needs. I’m so stoked my dog can communicate to me exactly what she wants.
