I have been making my deodorant for a few years. One of the primary ingredients in my deodorant is coconut oil which gets very solid in the winter. I had previously been using a small container and using my fingers to apply it but that was difficult when the coconut oil got so hard. I bought these as a solution and they work great. Word to the wise though: add some beeswax and/or shea butter to your recipe. It will go on smoother and be less likely to crack than if you just use coconut oil as the base.
