This has by far been one of the best editions to our kitchen. My wife and I researched several of the different types of steamers on the market and decided on this one because other steamers seemed to have a problem with algae build up due to hard to reach water trays in the bottom. None of that exists with this steamer. In fact, the easy clean up is one of our favorite features. The other favorite feature is the delayed start time. We have used it several times when the kids had a sports game, and set the steamer to come on two hours later so that the food would be ready and hot when we got home. I really don't have anything negative, except that it doesn't come with any type of ideas for meals or recipes.
