Yes, I broke one of these hangers within an hour of taking them out of the box. Don't worry, it was on purpose. We didn't quite have room for all of these hangers, so I decided I'd be able to write a fully-informed review by seeing just how strong and flexible they were. I bent the bottom piece up until it touched the top, without any problems. Then the real test - I took the two corners (shoulders) and tried to touch them together. They didn't quite make it before breaking, but the two halves were pretty close to parallel by the time it snapped. It's funny - the material isn't quite as flexible as hangers I've bought at Walmart or Target, and feels like it's going to break much more easily, but apparently it doesn't. These hangers have all the features you want (strength, added support in the corners, little hooks to hang things from), and none of the ones you don't (those awful indentations that some have). They're also made in the USA, so that counts for a lot. You won't find very many cheap plastic things that are. And they're selling for the same price per hanger as many foreign-made designs. There's only two things I'd change. First, the quantity. These are great hangers, but who needs 60?? You don't realize quite how many that is until you try to hang them up. The only situation in which I could see someone needing 60 hangers is someone who's just starting out, and has nothing at all. If, like most people, you're just trying to replace some that broke, you definitely don't need 60. The manufacturer should make these available in different quantities. Second is the color. White is fine, but making a few different colors available would make a big difference. Many families use hanger color to organize their clothes (whose clothes they are, or type of clothes, or something like that). Making these in multiple colors would almost certainly increase their sales. But those negatives are very minor, and definitely something I knew when I bought these. They were the best value for the best quality of hangers without indentations, so I got them. All in all, it was a very good purchase, and I have no problem recommending them.
