Watch out - I just got an email notice of expiration on my original Arlo cameras. They are going to discontinue free limited stored access, which makes the cameras useless for security purposes - you will have no record, unless you agree to pay for their monthly service and cloud storage. This camera comes with free storage for a few weeks and then it just stops. At that point, the camera will alert you to a motion, but it will not store that image or video clip. You can go live, but these cameras are slow to respond to live. Once you choose live, it takes 3-10 seconds and sometimes it just fails to go to a live shot, which makes it unreliable and nearly useless for security purposes. I have invested over $1,500 in these cameras over the past 10 years and I loved them because they didn't require any subscription. That has changed, so I can't recommend them. Also, I bought this particular camera because it had a huge battery. The down side is that it is so heavy it won't stay in place on the tiny camera mounts that they are supposed to work with. And, you have to remove the camera to recharge it - the battery is NOT removable. Fun while it lasted, but the new terms make it a poor choice for home security.
