I really like these pants. A lot of guys I know swear by their 511 pants, but I just couldn't justify spending $80 for a pair of pants that I was going to abuse the heck out of them. I saw these and thought I'd give them a try, and boy was I glad I did. I wear a 36 waist with a 34 length and these pants felt perfect in the waist, but seemed just a tad short. I've since ordered a second pair with 36 length and they fit much better. I wish they were a little less baggy in the thighs, but maybe I just have chicken legs. Since these are "tactical" pants, that means there's loads of pockets and velcro everywhere to hold your pocket knives, gun mags, walkie talkies, and Skoal. The fabric these pants are made from is fantastic--truly bomb proof. Whether you're sliding down the gun barrel of an M1 Abrams, or maybe just building a tree house (like I was) the fabric really holds up well. It's certainly not a soft material--not something you want to make underwear with, but it's not so stiff that the pants will stand on their own either. I've crawled through mud, climbed trees, and wiped greasy hands on these pants and after a washing they look just as clean as the day I got them...it's magical. I wish I could get dress shirts made of this stuff. Hardcore 511 fans aren't going to switch over to these pants, but if you're looking for great pants at an affordable price that you won't be afraid to try and destroy, then I think you'll be very pleased with these pants. I'll post a follow-up review after I've got some more time in the seat (see what I did there?) with these pants and let you know how they're doing. #### UPDATE 8/19/2017 #### It's been about 8 months since I've got these pants and they're holding up fantastic. They've gone through countless washes and the fabric has softened up just a teeny bit, but still has a hint of stiffness. Differential gear oil, thorny bushes, crawling on your hands and knees on a gravel road, or lassoing a wild giraffe, these pants hold up to anything. Grab a pair.
