I just returned from 2 weeks in Europe with this backpack! I'm 5'2" and exceptionally weak, and I was able to run the length of LGW to catch a connecting flight with this baby strapped to my back. It slid easily under the seat in front of me (stuck out a bit, but no flight attendants seemed to care) as well as in the overhead bin. Airlines flown - British Airways, Vueling, Lufthansa, Condor. Also, the top front pocket was perfect for easy access to liquids bag and headphones. I was very careless with the main compartment zipper and it got caught a few times but was easily freed, never stuck-- really appreciated that. Zippers seem to be high quality to endure all the tugging. Below is what I packed in case you're interested. I had room leftover for small souvenirs and other purchases. [In a 11.8 x 10.6 x 4.7 inch packing cube] 1 light jacket 3 dresses 2 pairs of sandals 4 t-shirts 2 tank tops swimsuit 4 pairs socks bra, underwear toiletries makeup [In a 11.8 x 7.9 x 4.7 inch packing cube] phone charger sunglasses glasses some other miscellaneous things (tissue packs, etc.)
