I'm a believer
I'm convinced the goo in this tube must contain some form of black magic. Carpenter Ants had declared war on my kitchen years ago, and despite my best efforts with other ant-killer and ant-bait products, their unstoppable force had ravaged my countertops mostly undeterred. This year, I decided it was time to get serious on these little suckers. The stellar reviews on this product overcame my frugal instincts, so I ponied up $25 for a tiny tube of liquid and crossed my fingers. I squirted 3 small pools of bait in 3 corners of our kitchen, and it quickly became apparent that this bait was actually liquid ant crack. Within an hour or two they had frantically sucked up every last microdrop. So I squirted more puddles and then went to bed. Something miraculous must have happened that night. Because in the morning there was half-eaten bait puddles and a single dead ant. And NOTHING else. It was like the ant rapture had occurred. Or like the gel had teleported them to another dimension. Or perhaps atomized them into dust. And I didn't even use 1/8th of the tube. In the months following, not a single ant has dared poke its head in my kitchen again. With the bitter, years-long conflict suddenly stilled by the ant equivalent of an atomic bomb, my soul is now conflicted. On one hand, the absence of invaders from my sovereign land has been delightfully peaceful. But on the other hand, I almost wish they would come back for Round 2, after all, I've still got 7/8ths of the tube sitting here just waiting to be unleashed. Maybe I'll buy an ant farm.
