These bottles are perfect for kombucha and water kefir. I was a little nervous that they wouldn't be strong enough to hold the pressure or that the seal wouldn't be tight enough but they are great so far and are soooooo much easier to clean than the flip top swing bottles with the tiny narrow neck. I bought 12 and I am going to buy another 12! UPDATE: Ok so I have bought a total of 5 of the 6 packs (30 bottles total) and I just discovered today that the cap is made up of 3 pieces and dishwater and grime can get in there. BE SURE TO TAKE THE LID APART EACH TIME YOU WASH IT! I actually found a moth in one of mine, SO gross. Still good bottles, BUT make sure you realize that there is a little dirt catcher in the lid!
