Decent vid, not as sturdy as my syma 107 'copter
It took around two and a half weeks to arrive. The batt charger had a EU plug so I had to order a EU prong to US adapter so I could charge the battery. The 'copter is a little fragile so I would consider it not good for beginners. The vid and pic quality is not bad. Either pics or vids can be initiated from the remote control - pics from the top lower right hand button and vids from the button on the back left of the controller. Pressing either one causes the word 'function' to temporarily appear on the transmitter display. This can be confusing - the manual is not clear on how to operate the camera. One button press starts the vid cam, a second button press ends the vid. The cam has a led on the bottom that is green when it is ready, and blinks red when the cam is in use. The 'copter is fairly stable. Inside, you need a fairly large room to fly it in, or you will break it when you crash into things. Outside, the more windy it gets, the harder it is to fly. I am a beginner at flying 'copters, my only previous experience being with a syma 107 IR indoor 'copter which is quite sturdy and resilient when it comes to crashing into things. Crashing this quad 'copter in the same way I have done with my little syma would break it pretty quickly. However, you can fly this quad 'copter outdoors, in the middle of an open field - and probably figure out how to fly it before you break it. And even if you fly it and break it, you can have a vid of how that all happened. The cam records on to a removable camera flash card that holds (according to my computer) 1.8 gigs of info. This is more memory than you need for the battery limited flight time of around eight or ten minutes. The 'copter comes with an adapter for the flash card so you can copy your flight files to your computer and view them. The remote controller sensitivity can be adjusted - this helps beginning fliers keep from creating their own in flight problems. The remote controller also has a button for switching on / off LEDS on the 'copter - these leds are white on the front of the 'copter and red on the back. This helps with in flight orientation. Update 6/23/13: This 'copter is a little more sturdy than I gave it credit for - I have had two hard crashes into solid objects and it did not break. Perhaps it being light weight and flexible is what has saved it. The vid I have attached is one of my earliest flights, it was a calm day with not much wind. I had the controller sensitivity set to 40%. I am a beginning flier and I have a tendency to peg the controls instead of flying smoothly. At this point I am just happy to be able to take off and land the thing without breaking it...
