We bought the bands for our 12-year old Boxer (Butch), who can't bend his back legs and has lost control of his bladder. They are working well and we are pleased. If there is an issue for us, it is the size. When I ordered I didn't see XL so I bought L. They fit, but just barely. That said, I'm kind of afraid an XL will allow gaps. The only other issue I have faced is that on occasion, when he wakes from sleeping and I take them off so he can go outside, the urine is literally puddled and will spill if I don't hold both sides. I am wondering if the elastic is positioned so that it is blocking flow because it doesn't happen every time. But overall, the product is saving us loads of time and I think Butch is more comfortable too because he literally comes to me and stands very still to get his Belly Band before he lies down. They are extending the time we have with him, and since he helped us raise two kids, two kittens, and two puppies, we want to keep him comfortable and maintain his dignity for as long as possible...We love him!
