Overall, this is a great device. I installed it yesterday so, over time things may change. PROS 1. Picture Quality is good, decent wide angle view 2. Setup was fairly quick, comes with a plug attached to set it up before installation (don't remove until after setup) 3. Installation was very easy, even had a hook to hold the device while you wire it. 4. Integrates right in with the Eufy Security App along with my other Eufy products 5. Motion detection is great, lights came on quickly. LEDS are nice and bright, more than prev leds I had 6. Sturdy construction, nice boxing, everything is included that you need besides a screwdriver 7. Doesn't need a seal. Comes with nice solid foam rubber attached to give a water seal to the electrical box CONS 1. Right away during setup, it requires you to disable your mobile data, this isn't intuitive, I had to look up exactly what to do, but it would not let you continue no matter what, until you did so. (did not give info on how) 2. Phone would not find wifi name, even though device said it was in discovery mode, had to press the sync button again then it worked (still showed same visual of being in discovery mode) 3. Wifi range is very short (Eufy claims its a low frequency Wifi) Luckily I had a beacon near by. You may need to add an extender to reach it. 4. Recording storage is an Internal MMC card of only 4 GB, this is extremely low considering todays MMC/SD sizes 5. Currently does NOT connect to a Eufy Security Homebase. Eufy claims this should be available in a couple months. This would increase my rating to 5 stars. The Homebase uses an SD card that you provide, removing the issue of the 4GB limitation. Some of these cons are purely during setup. I am still happy with the product at this time and will be more happy when/if they add base support. I will try to post an update in 6-9 months on durability.
