I have seen SO MANY negative reviews that say this machine falls apart after a few weeks. Same thing was happening to me: within two weeks wheels were grinding, ball bearings were falling out, it looked hopeless. THEN i decided to spray the movement joints with WD40 .... Problem solved! I lubricate FREQUENTLY, every 3000 calories burned or so, and now have used it for four months, half hour a day, about 500 calories a session with no problems! Just lubricate frequently and this machine gives a GREAT workout, will pay for itself in three months. I am a 6' tall, 200 pound man, 48 years old with bad knees, and love this elliptical.
