This locket was purchased for a friend who shared a special dog's love with me. This dog, sadly, sucumbed to illness and left us way too soon. This locket is perfect to hold a photo and a bit of hair from this special friend. The locket is lovely and should hold up well. We had trouble inserting the photo until we realized the metal frame inside comes out and can be used as both a template and to hold the photo in place in the locket. This was not mentioned in the description and could perhaps be added as the find certainly helped us :o)
