I have had no issues with shedding, so that may be a rare product defect/issue. Also, regarding the "not warm enough" comments... This thing is perfect to act like a lightweight comforter/sheet combo. If it's really cold, you will need another blanket. I have another MicFib blanket that is the same size, if it's really cold I double up and boom, fine. Now, if you get cold easy, this is probably worse and thus, a deal breaker. There are several very nice, super warm faux fur blankets on Amazon, though. This is not meant to be that, this is meant to be a simple pleasure, and it is. I do wish that they had a queen sized option, though.
