Great vacuum!
I bought this vacuum at BB&B a couple weeks ago (at the time it wasn't available on Amazon...plus it's cheaper there with the 20% coupon). I have wall-to-wall carpeting in my apartment and a long-haired dog, so I win the jackpot of vacuuming challenges. This vacuum was well worth the money over my previous Eureka Optima. Disadvantages: 1) My only complaint is that the dust canister is small and so I need to empty it multiple times during 1 cleaning session. But that also shows you how much this vacuum picks up from the carpet! 2) The vacuum is so light that it DOES fall over every time you want to use the handheld accessories. Luckily for me, I rarely use those tools since I have a separate pet hair dust buster. Advantages: 1) This vacuum is truly not that loud. My dog was scared of my other vacuum and he is not scared of this one. I swear that my blender is louder than this vacuum. 2) The filter is completely protected from what the vacuum is picking up. My other vacuum did not have a protected filter and so all the hair and dust would get caught in the filter rendering it useless. This is a well-designed vacuum. 3) The dust canister is incredibly easy to remove and empty. Does not send dust flying back into the air either! 4) Everything else. It swivels around corners, is self-propelled, drops flat to go under my dining room table, has a powerful suction, and still easily fits into my coat closet for storage. 5) How can you argue with a vacuum that makes you love cleaning?
