This will give you a filter at the gun to keep if from clogging, not to mention the swivel which is a must. Make sure the tips you buy start with 353- then the tip size. Example 353-517. I learned the hard way that there are tips that look the same but will not fit. Same for the hose and gun. These parts are special for this sprayer. Make sure you do your homework and find out what size tip you need for your application. The tip that comes with it is the most popular for household paints.
