My daughter had been breaking out in hives for weeks and we couldn't figure out why. We hadn't changes soaps, she hadn't changed her skin care routine, we hadn't changed anything! I had her to 2 different doctors and was preparing for a visit to the allergist so I read up on what to expect at the appt. I read that more times than not, even after the the allergist does the "scrape tests" on your skin, you never figure out what causes the hives. I further read that steroids and allergy meds are often prescribed. I hated the thought of giving my child these strong meds in the hope there would be an improvement in her condition so before her appt (had a 2 week wait to get in to the allergist) I read about Black Seed Oil and all the "magical" cures you get out of it. I was very skeptical so I ordered the product but continued to read about this cure-all and even sought out people who used it. EVERYONE had a story about how it helped them in some way so I figured, it's natural, it can't hurt. When the oil arrived I was not prepared for the smell. I was warned it smelled & tasted like diesel oil and I believe this was an understatement. IT WAS STRONG. I thought there was no way I could give this to my daughter so I tried it and WOW, it was awful and the taste stayed with me all morning. I even found myself burping it; gross! Later I talked to my daughter & she said she was willing to try anything to get rid of the hives that now covered her legs, arms and lower back & stomach. So I gave her a dose along with a large glass of juice to kill the taste then sent her to school. I got a text from her at lunch saying the hives were gone. I thought she was kidding. SHE WASN'T! That evening she showed me her clear skin and I thought, OMGosh, this stuff is magic! She continued the oil every day for over a week. Some days she did get a few hives here or there, but nothing compared to how they covered her prior to our oil "experiment". I ended up canceling the appt with the allergist and after a few weeks of a daily-dose of black seed oil a day, the hives were gone. I will continue to keep a bottle of this oil on hand and have told others to read up on all the ailments its reported to help. I can only testify to it ridding my daughter of hives, but would definately recommend everyone learn more about this product
